Mara’s career began in 1998 when she started working at the renowned Van Michael Salon in Atlanta Georgia. At Van Michael she was able to polish her technical skills and realize her creative capabilities doing hair. Being a native of Minnesota, she moved home in 2001 and started working professionally. She spent the last 10 years perfecting her skills as an artist at one of Minneapolis’s Premier Aveda Concept Salons, Juut Salonspa. She has been recognized as Colorist of the Year during her time with Juut.

She is very passionate about fully serving her guests. She loves working one-on-one with her clients to create a customized look that compliments their lifestyle, face shape, and hair type. She loves creating beautiful hair color! Mara has trained at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, as well as attending on-going training with Aveda throughout her career. She has also studied and trained at the Advanced Aveda Academy in London. Juut also offers education quarterly from industry leaders that she attends and workshops to stay current and present with today’s hair fashions.
